Messages on Tees

Clothing as a statement isn’t a new thing. However, there is something unique that Fuck Art Make Tees (FAMT) does. The French clothing brand got my attention by using the cleanest font style there is, in a small size in a minimalistic way. Using vulnerable, pop culture references and bold statements. Many statements are about things that people often think but never say out loud, with for example “Need money not friends”. With prints like “Everything will be okay”, “Unloveable” and “Notice me” a reflection of the current generation that experiences a lot of pressure and struggles with who they are and what they want to do in life. Besides al the heavy messages it also has a link to the current streetwearscene and it’s culture of copying famous rappers and the whole Kanye West hype.
